Walnut Canyon National Monument

Walnut Canyon features a series of single-story ancestral puebloan architecture built high on a canyon wall. The dwellings were built & occupied by the Sinagua peoples (modern pueblo people of today) from about 1100 to 1250 AD. Walnut Canyon is one of their ancestral homes. You can explore the park trails and see the unique "condominiums" of this ancient Native American community The Visitor Center offers a museum, bookstore, restrooms, overlook & two trails.
